Make your LOVE come to PAPER

Original Watercolor Artwork

Every illustration begins with hand-painted watercolor, bringing the little moments, meaningful places, and people in your love story to life in an original piece of art.

Crafted around your story

From the moments that brought you together to the details only the two of you would recognize, each illustration is created around your journey, making it a personal keepsake to treasure for years to come

A calm & attentive process

Working directly with Mo | Thuận Nguyễn, you’ll be guided through the creative process, from sharing your story and favorite memories to bringing them together in a watercolor illustration made just for you.

From Your Memories to a Painting

1. Sharing your story

We begin with a conversation about your journey together, the moments you want to remember, and the little details that make your story yours. You’ll share your favorite memories, reference photos, and any ideas you have for the illustration.

2. Shaping the Composition

With your story as our starting point, we plan the composition, arranging your chosen moments and meaningful details into one cohesive illustration that captures the feeling of your journey.

3. Sketching in graphite

We begin with a graphite sketch to map out the composition, placement, and details of each scene. You’ll have the opportunity to review the sketch and request revisions to the composition before we begin painting.

4. Watercolor & Inking

Once the composition is approved, we bring your story to life with hand-painted watercolor and ink, adding color, texture, and fine details to each scene. From this stage onward, the composition is fixed and cannot be changed.

5. Refinement

You’ll receive a preview of the completed illustration to review the colors. At this stage, the included revision round is for color adjustments only, ensuring the overall palette feels right to you without changing the approved composition.

6. Delivering Your Artwork

Once approved, your original artwork is carefully packaged and shipped to you, ready to be gifted or treasured as a lasting reminder of your journey together.

This could be your first date, a memorable trip, or your proposal.

Each moment represents a meaningful memory from your relationship, illustrated as a watercolor scene.

fREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

THE ARTWORK

Will I receive the original painting or a printed artwork?

Once approved, the original artwork is shipped to you.

What should I prepare before commissioning?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

It helps to have a rough idea of the moments you’d like to include, along with any reference photos, meaningful places, or personal details you’d love to see illustrated.

We can explore the creative direction together during our initial conversation.

Can Munikoz recreate an illustration I found on Pinterest or by another artist?

We welcome references for inspiration, whether they help communicate a mood, color palette, composition, or artistic detail. However, we don’t copy another artist’s work. Your illustration will be created specifically around your story, with its own composition and artistic direction.

What’s the difference between a key moment illustration and a little detail illustration?

A moment illustration captures a specific memory from your relationship, usually as a scene featuring you, your partner, and the setting around you. This could be your first date, a memorable trip, or your proposal.

A little detail illustration highlights a meaningful detail, object, or symbol connected to your story, such as a favorite flower, a treasured keepsake, or a special building. These smaller illustrations complement the main moments and add more personal details to your artwork.

How many revisions are included?

Your commission includes a review and revision stage for the graphite sketch, where composition changes can be discussed before painting begins. After the composition is approved, it is fixed.

The final review stage allows for color refinements only, not changes to the composition. This process helps ensure your artwork develops with clarity and care from the beginning.

Can I use the artwork for other purposes?

Your commissioned illustration is intended for personal use, such as gifting, displaying at home, or keeping as a personal memento.

If you wish to use the designs for commercial purposes or to license the artwork, please inform us in advance. We will be happy to discuss and propose an appropriate licensing fee. Any extended usage rights are subject to a separate written agreement.

What if I want to change something after the artwork is approved?

The composition is finalized during the graphite sketch stage, so changes to the arrangement or illustrated moments aren’t available once painting begins.

Color refinements are available during the final review stage, within the included revision allowance.

If you have an important detail to include, please share it as early as possible so it can be considered before the composition is approved.

PROCESS & TIMELINE

How does the illustration process work?

We begin by discussing your story and vision, followed by a graphite sketch for you to review and refine. Once the composition is approved, we move on to watercolor and inking. You’ll then have an opportunity to review the colors and request the included color refinements before the artwork is finalized.

When should I commission my artwork?

We recommend getting in touch as early as possible, especially if the illustration is intended as a wedding or anniversary gift.

Each piece is painted by hand, and the time needed depends on the artwork size.

If you have a specific gifting date in mind, please mention it in your inquiry so we can discuss the timeline.

How long will it take to receive my artwork?

The estimated time from deposit to being ready for shipping depends on your chosen size:

  • A4: 2 weeks

  • A3: 3 weeks

  • A2: 6 weeks

  • A1: 10 weeks

These estimates exclude shipping time. If you need your artwork sooner, a priority turnaround may be available for an additional fee, depending on my schedule.

Do Munikoz offer rush or urgent orders?

A faster turnaround may be possible depending on my current workload and the size of your artwork.

Rush commissions are subject to availability and an additional priority fee.

Please share your desired delivery date in your inquiry, and I’ll let you know what is possible.

How do we communicate during the project?

Primary communication is handled via email to ensure all details, feedback, and approvals are clearly documented.

For quick clarifications or time-sensitive matters, we are also happy to communicate via WhatsApp or Messenger. These channels are intended for brief check-ins rather than detailed feedback or design decisions.

All formal feedback, approvals, and change requests should be confirmed by email to keep the process smooth and accurate.

PAYMENT

Do Munikoz require a deposit?

Yes.

A non-refundable deposit of 60% artwork investment is required to secure your booking.

The remaining balance, plus shipping fee, is due before the artwork is shipped.

How does the pricing work?

Every artwork begins with a base price that includes handwritten dates and locations, creative direction, composition, and the creation and preparation of your final artwork.

You can then customize your package by deciding number of key moments, little detail illustrations, an illustrated frame, or handwritten narration.

Each option is priced separately, so you can choose what matters most to you.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

How will my artwork be packaged?

Your artwork will be carefully protected for its journey to you.

  • A4 and A3 artworks are shipped flat.
  • A2 and A1 artworks can be shipped either flat in a protective art box or gently rolled in protective wrapping and placed inside a long, rigid shipping box.

Flat packaging keeps your artwork flat upon arrival and is my recommended option for original watercolor paintings.

Rolled packaging is a more economical shipping option for larger artworks, as the smaller parcel can help reduce international shipping costs. However, the artwork may arrive curled and require careful flattening before framing. Munikoz will guide you on the flattening process if you choose rolled packaging.

You can let me know your preferred packaging method when placing your order. Shipping costs will depend on the destination, package dimensions, and selected courier service.

Is shipping included in the artwork investment?

Shipping is quoted separately based on your delivery destination, chosen packaging, and preferred shipping method.

Once we have your delivery details, we’ll provide a shipping estimate before we proceed.

Do Munikoz ship internationally?

Yes! Munikoz ships worldwide from Saigon, Vietnam, and we welcome commissions from clients around the world.

Shipping costs and estimated delivery times depend on your destination and chosen shipping method. Please include your delivery country and postal code when submitting your inquiry so we can provide an estimated shipping fee.

Please note that the  timeline covers the creation of your artwork and does not include shipping transit time.

What are shipping options?

There are 2 shipping options.

Standard shipping is the more economical option and includes the applicable import duties and customs fees under my standard shipping arrangement, so you won’t need to pay these charges sepa
